Do you allow alcohol on board?
In accordance with the law, the opening or consumption of alcohol on the vehicle is strictly prohibited at all times across Australia.

Is food or drink (non-alcoholic) allowed to be consumed?
Most non-alcoholic beverages are permitted, with the exception of glass products. We prefer food items that are easily manageable and unlikely to create a mess to prevent any spills or damage to the vehicle. A cleaning fee will be applied if any cleaning is required after your journey.

When do I need to pay for my booking?
A 20% deposit is required to secure your vehicle, with the remaining balance due 24 hours before your journey.

What are the payment methods?

What is your cancellation policy?
To ensure the best value and minimize stress for our customers, we have a straightforward cancellation policy. Apart from the 20% non-refundable deposit, you can cancel your booking without any additional cost up to 24 hours before the scheduled trip. If the booking is cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, 100% of the total booking amount will be charged.

Can I change my vehicle size if the passenger numbers change?
While changing your vehicle is possible, availability cannot be confirmed until the request is made. Therefore, we cannot guarantee the change until availability is known. Please note that a price change may occur.

Do you require a bond and what does it cover?
A bond is required for bookings such as hen parties, wine tours, birthday parties, late-night transfers, and similar events. The bond is typically $200 including GST, depending on the purpose, and covers potential issues such as cleaning fees, overtime charges, and damages to the vehicle.

What are your overtime charges?
Overtime and waiting rates are charged at $55 per hour including GST for sedans, and $110 per hour including GST for minibuses, buses, and coaches.

Will the driver inform me if I incur any extra charges on the day?
No, it is not the responsibility of the driver to inform or warn you or your group of any impending charges, including overtime, damage, or extra kilometers, regardless of the circumstances on the day of your journey. It is your responsibility to manage your group's requirements and be aware of any extra charges that may be incurred.

If I add an extra stop how much will this be?
Unless the additional stops result in a significant increase in driving time or distance, there will be no extra charges. Please inform us in advance so we can confirm the quotation prior to your trip.

Do all your vehicles have storage?
No, our coaches, including the 25-36 Seat Midi Coach, 37-49 Seat Coach, and 50-57 Seat Coach, all have luggage space available underneath the vehicle. The MPVs and Minibuses do not have luggage capacity, but luggage trailers are available upon request.

Does the quotation include a luggage trailer?
There is no additional cost for a trailer. Please ensure you specify this in your inquiry so we can include the trailer for you.

Are there facilities available for child seats?
Depending on the size of the vehicle you require, there are limited points to fit a child seat. However, in some states, children are allowed to be seated on a parent's lap if the parents feel comfortable with this arrangement, depending on the age of the child. Cheap Bus Charter adheres to the laws in each state regarding the requirement for children to be seatbelted. Even where the laws do not mandate securing the child, we highly recommend that all children be seatbelted to avoid injury in case of sudden stops.
